Welcome to the BPA!  Members are the backbone of our organization and integral to providing psychiatric care in many communities in the African Diaspora in the US and abroad.  To our current members, ‘Thank You’.  Since BPA’s inception you have supported, educated, advocated and mentored members of this organization, other health care professionals, patients and families.  The organization has grown steadily over the years because of your efforts.  We look forward to your continued support and participation in the BPA.

The Black Psychiatrists of America (BPA), Inc. allows you to stay in touch with others in the field as well as those in related professions.  You are able to share ideas and experiences with your colleagues around area of common interest.

ABILITY TO LEARN & EARN CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS

The Black Psychiatrsits of America, Inc. (BPA) offers opportunities throughout the year to acquire valuable continuing education credits in medicine and several other health related fields:  nursing, social work, psychology, education and religion.  The BPA's Annual Transcultural Psychiatry Conference takes you to various locations around the world to exhange information and obtain first hand knowledge about global mental health issues and delivery. 


PROVIDES A RESOURCE CENTER FOR VALUABLE REFERENCES

Members are kept abreast of the many books and publications of colleagues and other members, made aware of upcoming health related events sponsored by BPA as well as other associations and organizations.

The BPA is open to anyone who is in the medical field or is a health care service provider (i.e., psychiatrists, resident physicians, medical students, psychologists, nurses, social workers, counselors, pharmacist, service administrators, etc.)  go ahead, Get Involved & Join' the BPA.
